Crested Butte is best known for its “off the beaten Path” location and out of the ordinary signature Crested Butte events taking place in the summer and winter. Summer Crested Butte events include the most spectacular Wild Flower Festival, many free summer concerts, on-mountain bike races, a grand Fourth of July parade and the Crested Butte Chili & Beer Festival in September. Gunnison, just 30 minutes south of Crested Butte, hosts the famous Cattleman’s days. Cattlemen’s days is Colorado’s oldest rodeo.
