La Fiesta celebrates Boulder County’s multicultural community with live bands to inspire the dance floor with rhythms ranging from soul music with the Soul School, tropical rhythms with Basilon Lagunero & Quemando, to African and Brazilian drumming and dancing with Mokombo, Bateria Alegria and Ginga. Food trucks featuring Salvadoran pupusas, delicious tacos, and wood fired pizza will also delight the senses. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to buy beautiful art, jewelry, clothing and artisanal goods in our first World Market.
The goal of this event is to bring diverse cultures together at a fun event as well to raise $40,000 to help Intercambio to continue to improve lives through English education and unite communities across cultures.
Tickets available July 1st. Purchase them online at www.intercambio.org or at Intercambio offices in Boulder (4735 Walnut St. Suite B) or Longmont (1715 Iron Horse Dr. Suite 130). All proceeds from ticket sales and the event benefit Intercambio.
Founded in Boulder in 2001, Intercambio Uniting Communities envisions communities where all people communicate, connect, and succeed. To that end, Intercambio engages volunteer teachers with non-native English speakers to promote cross cultural communication and increased English language skills. Last year, 1,100 people improved their English through Intercambio in Boulder County. For more information, visit www.intercambioweb.org.
