Aspen EventsJust hearing “Aspen” conjures up images of an exceptional premier Colorado mountain town where movie stars hang out. Everyone must be entertained, so Aspen events deliver the goods on a regular basis. Belly Up is not just a premier live music bar in Aspen, but the entire country. Aspen events and concerts that take place there usually only happen at amphitheaters, arenas and stadiums. This intimate venue brings top notch bands that you’ve certainly heard about. Other Aspen events take place on Aspen Mountain and in the Gondola Plaza right in downtown Aspen. Snow sports Aspen events like the XGames take place every January and are televised on ESPN.

John Denver had a special relationship with Aspen where his song Rocky Mountain High was inspired. Every fall, a John Denver celebration takes place with concerts and tributes at venues around town. You don’t have to wait for the John Denver Celebration to pay homage. You can visit the John Denver Sanctuary right outside of town.

Downtown Aspen events are also taking place all year and this shopping district is known for its high-end restaurants and boutiques. Wheler Opera House is another Aspen venue hosting top notch concerts, films and theatre productions.

Aspen is in the Roaring Fork Valley and is part of a four mountain destination that include Buttermilk, Aspen Highlands and Snowmass. All four ski areas are connected by free public transportation. One lift ticket gets you on all four mountains.
