Greeley EventsGreeley is about an hour north of Denver and an hour and half west of Boulder. Annual Greeley events include the Greeley Blues Jam in June and The Greeley Stampede in June and July. Greeley events also include the Weld County Fair at the end of the July. Greeley isn’t a big city (population 105, 000), but these Greeley events bring in big time talent.

The Greeley Blue jam takes place on the first weekend of June and is a great to kick off the summer in Colorado. This is a real blues festival that features real blue bands and artists. Pre-festival activities take place in Downtown Greeley at 16 bars and restaurants where live bands play for free starting at 5pm. The festival it self takes place at Island Grove Park.

The Greeley Stampede is a signature Greeley event and brings thousands of people and millions of dollars to this otherwise sleepy community. It has roots back to the 1800s and features two weeks of Rodeo challenges, topnotch entertainment, a carnival, fireworks, a parade, car show and so much more.  Previous performers include Darius Rucker, Sublime, Aaron Watson, The Greeley Stampede and the Weld County Fair take place at the Island Grove park.

Another venue that hosts signature Greeley events is the Moxi Theater located in downtown. This mid-sized concert venue with a capacity of 425 hosts super-sized entertainment.

Greeley events also take place in downtown main street. On the first Friday of each month, art galleries remain open until 8pm. Blarney on the Block is a St. Patrick’s Day celebration with a parade and dance. IN the Summer on every Friday, Downtown Greeley hosts a Friday Fest featuring free live music, street performers and kids’ activities. As if that isn’t enough, downtown Greeley also hosts Oktobrewfest at the end of September.
