This weekend is extended a day as we celebrate the life and accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in 1986, President Ronald Reagan declared the third Monday in January a federally legal holiday commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King' Jr.'s birthday. Denver's Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Colorado Holiday Commission is the Marade organizer. From January 11 to February 12, the commission also presents gatherings that features concerts, movies, workshops. The adventure begins with a ride up the Strawberry Park Express chairlift to McCoy Park, where all ability levels enjoy a guided snowshoe tour.
