Colorado is the mountain sports capital of the world. The best athletes in the world either live here or come here to compete in extreme sports at high altitude. There’s winter snow sports like skiing and snowboarding, fat biking, ice climbing, snowshoeing  and mountaineering. There’s summer mountain sports like mountain biking, kayaking, rock climbing, road biking, marathons, trail running and more. Many of these competitions aren’t just open to pros.
